“In order to make any permanent changes, you have to be willing. Willing to see things differently. Willing to experience new ideas. Willing to listen to the people who cheered you on rather than ones who echoed your fears." Rhonda Britten
"Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens." Carl Jung
"Every positive change - every jump to a higher level of energy and awareness - involves a rite of passage. Each time to ascend to a higher rung on the ladder of personal evolution, we must go through a period of discomfort, of initiation. I have never found an exception." Dan Millman
I wanted to share these quotes with you because all three of them had a lasting effect on me. You know when a quote just hits you the right way? Well, that's what happened here.
I believe that every person has their own unique and perfect journey of personal development and discovery. Along the way, we gain new perspectives, knowledge, face challenges, overcome, learn about ourselves, make positive shifts, free ourselves of negative, forgive, and connect with people, nature, and more importantly our inner beings. It is important to remember that no matter what we are faced with on this path to self-discovery, awareness is the catalyst for change.
So, if we want to make GREAT lasting changes in our lives, we must first become aware of the actions/people/thoughts that are not working for us. This awareness is the crucial first step for us, in order to make conscious choices to shift our thinking, environment or actions to things that will work for us (for the better). The key is that they work for us almost effortlessly, because they are exactly in line with what we think, feel and want for our lives. That is an essential part of "creating your great life." It all starts with one conscious choice.
Always remember: People have a choice. YOU have a choice. One more quote to leave you with today, this one from the Dahli Lama:
"Pain is inevitable. Suffering is OPTIONAL."
Make it a GREAT day...or not....the choice is YOURS.
